Been meaning to read this for some time now, finally got to it and it left its mark on me!!!I like to think there are a few books I've read that have changed me and pushed me to pursue more: Tuesday's with Morries, Tis, Child named it, Into the Wild, and now this gem.

This doofus reminds me of Dexter Filkins, the New York Times dork who stole a title from a classic cult sci-fi novel "The Forever War." If you're gonna write a book, if that's what this is, at least try to come up with an original title. A book about some wanker's navel-gazing whilst sort of adventuring is obviously not worth the pixels it's written on.
My husband and I met Steve at a cafe in Costa Rica, and said, "look us up if you come to Tucson." A month or two later, he was at our door! He stayed about 10 days working at rebuilding his bike, and kept us entertained with stories and photos that were phenomenal! He has a delicious sense of humor, the eye of an explorer, and the temperament of a person who has the ability to be totally in the moment, even while reaching for a monumental goal. I know you will be amazed at his experiences.
